Chief Petty Officer Duane Graham served in the US Navy for 21 years, primarily as a propulsion mechanic in the Atlantic, Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea. His plate's ADC refers to his job description, Aviation Machinist's Mate (AD) Chief. Mr. Graham shared with me that he worked on everything from helicopters to jet aircraft, his goal, to be comfortable with anything that flew. His front license plate stated “CPO,” Chief Petty Officer, and the rear, with the eagle, he felt quite appropriate.
