Military ID (A work in progress.)

Not having met this plate’s owner, we might at first speculate its meaning, assuming this person to be a 1994 US Military Academy graduate. It is the plate frame and nearby Golden Knight emblem that erases all doubt. Its owner would know that within the West Point Museum you can see George Washington's pistols and Napoleon's sword. He or she (around 20% of the student body are women) might have been served “Eggs McCarthy,” a tongue-in-cheek alternative to “Eggs Benedict,” this breakfast named after a longtime mess hall chef. There is no mention of the dastardly Benedict Arnold name anywhere at West Point. The plate's owner would know that on the grounds at West Point, its chapel has the largest pipe organ in the world, with over 23,000 pipes. I’ve read that when played, the chapel shakes. The plate’s owner would know that of the five US Army 5-star generals, four were West Point graduates: Eisenhower, MacArthur, Marshall, and Bradley. And also this, the first ever class rings were offered to West Point graduates, beginning in 1835.
