Military ID (A work in progress.)

Over 950,000 of our military members served in the Persian Gulf War. Six of the US Navy aircraft carriers spent time in the area, either prior to the war, known as Operation Desert Shield, or during the conflict, called Operation Desert Storm, including the USS Midway, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS America, USS Saratoga, and USS John F. Kennedy. In addition, the battleship USS Wisconsin, the guided-missile cruisers USS Bunker Hill and USS Mobile Bay, the destroyer USS Fife and the frigate USS Barbey were key naval vessels involved. In total, approximately 110 U.S. Navy ships were deployed. Today, over 40,000 of our military members continue to serve in the area. This proud veteran’s license plate was seen in Detroit.
