The "Big House," as it was called, was initially a 19-room Greek-revival style home, built in 1939 by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Louis Bromfield. Sitting on his 1000 acre estate, he lived there until his passing in 1956. 20,000 people visit the farm annually.
