The messages in this collection of license plates offer whimsy, sentiment, a person's military history, job description and locations. Kadena is an air base in Okinawa, Japan. Its origins came about during WWII when the Japanese built a coral runway on the site, it evolving over the decades to what is today, due to its strategic location, known as the "Keystone of the Pacific." Over twenty thousand work on or call the base home, the largest and most active U.S. Air Base in East Asia. Nearly everything from the F-86 Sabre to the SR-71 Blackbird have called the base home. This license plate was seen at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
