The Gold Star Family Tribute honors US Marine Private First Class Thomas A. Leichleiter, who died in Vietnam at age 18, on his sister Susan Wrieth's car. He was one of ten siblings and an older brother to Susan, known as "Tom Cat" to those close to him. He loved his life as a Marine. Today, Ms. Wrieth serves our veterans as an LPN at the Omaha VA Medical Center. The Nebraska Gold Star license plate is available to immediate family members of a veteran who died while serving in the U.S. military.
