Military ID (A work in progress.)

At an earlier time in their lives, for many veterans, they assumed a new identity. It became who they are. Later, for the fortunate, it remains, always a part of them, sometimes a simple message shared on a vehicle license tag. Today, we hear about Seal Team Six. Five decades ago, it was the Green Berets. Known by their distinctive headgear, they are officially known as the U.S. Army Special Forces, an elite unit specializing in unconventional warfare, counter terrorism, and special reconnaissance, often working closely with foreign forces. The three colored emblems on this veteran's license plate frame represent the National Defense, Vietnam and Unit Commendation Metals.
