Ohio State Route 39 End to End

The Richland Carrousel Park in Mansfield opened in 1991, the first new, hand-carved carrousel (an older manner of spelling) to be built and operated in the United States since the 1930s. The figures were carved in the style of G.A. Dentzel, one of the most revered carvers of the early 1900s. It comprises 52 animals (30 horses and 22 menagerie figures, including a mythical hippocampus) and 2 chariots. When Ken was there, it was closed; he took this photograph through a window.
