Lee Jackson never flew. He was a US Army truck mechanic who served in Germany and at Bien Hoa, Vietnam, posted there during the 1968 Tet Offensive. The message on his plate is to honor the memory of Naval aviator John McCain III, who flew the A4, and was held as a Vietnam War POW from 1967-1973. The yellow and red colors on the license plate frame represent the Vietnam Service Medal, based on the colors of the flag of the Republic of Vietnam. Mr. Jackson's license plate was seen in Salt Lake City, Utah.
